August 15, 2025, GuwahatiThe Assam Jogging Association (AJA), proudly continuing its legacy since 1994, successfully organized the annual Independence Day Knockout Football Tournament on August 15, 2025, at Janata Bhawan Playground, Assam Secretariat. This year, the tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from 16 teams, showcasing sportsmanship and unity in celebration of India’s 79th Independence Day.The event was graced by Brigadier S. Prasad, who commended the steadfast progress of India, attributing it to the dedicated contributions of its citizens. His presence added immense inspiration to the occasion. The tournament was inaugurated by Shri Jayanta Kumar Das, Chairman of the Assam Scheduled Caste Development Corporation, who hoisted the national flag and delivered an inspiring address. He called upon the youth to take a proactive role in the nation’s development and ensure that the fruits of progress reach the downtrodden sections of society.The AJA remains committed to promoting sports, unity, and patriotism through such initiatives.
