Chief Minister of Tripura Biplab Kumar Deb met Prime Ministet Narendra Modi at New Delhi today. Deb apprised the
Prime Minister of various steps taken by state govt in combating Covid 19.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has assured of all assistance to the state government to fight the virus. Deb requests the Prime Minister for funding of SEZ at Jalefa Sabroom under the trade infrastructure for export scheme of Ministry of Commerce. He also seeks support for meeting the shortfall of Rs 2200 crore for year 2020-21 under 15th finance commission grants and release of balance funds of Rs 650crore from Ministry of Finance for completion of various ongoing projects.
Prime Minister Modi advised Deb for harnessing solar power,building smoke houses for rubber production and overall development of infrastructure of rubber amd Tea industry in the state.
