Tripura Pradesh Congress has called off the strike scheduled on 8th September.
Earlier Congress has declared they would observe a Tripura bandh on 8 sept in protest against the attack on former PCC President Birajit Sinha.
The bandh has to be called off due to intervention of AICC.
Tripura Congress incharge Faleiro has circulated a notice under instruction of Congress Leader Sonia Gandhi which orders to cancel the bandh called by Mr Sinha.
Faleiro in a letter to the TPCC said the Bandh has been postponed and a fresh date will be later announced.
It is to be noted that the PCC President Pijush Kanti Biswas was against the bandh from the very beginning which lead to a tussle between him and Birajit Sinha.
Sinha, despite the nod from the high command the TPCC remained intransigent on it’s decision to go ahead with the Bandh in protest against attack on him and other Congress workers.
According to some political analysts the crack between eminent Cong Leaders in the State is eminent and the party could increase in future due to personal differences.
