Congress president Pijush Kanti Biswas suffered minor injuries after his vehicle was attacked allegedly by BJP workers in Bisalghar area of Sipahijala district on Sunday morning.
In protest of the attack on Tripura Congress President, the party has called for a 12-hour state-wide bandh on Monday.

The Congress has alleged that the attack was carried out by supporters of the ruling BJP and took place despite presence of police personnel at the spot.
Biswas alleged that the miscreants damaged his vehicle with sticks and an iron rod.
The goons also thrashed other Congress supporters who were present on the spot.
The Congress leader filed a complaint against the assailants at the Bishalgarh Police Station.
