Journalists Union of Assam (JUA ) today submitted a memorandum to the Assam CM asking him to give representation of the union in the state accreditation committee as per guidelines of the Press Council of India. JUA also requested the CM to issue an order to municipal authorities to exempt Journalists from parking taxes. JUA requests the cm to allot a plot of land to the union. JUA also asked the govt to take up the issue of parking fees in Guwahati airport and railway stations with the appropriate authorities so that Journalists are exempted from parking fees in the airport and railway station. The CM assured the jua team that he will sympathetically look into the demannds of JUA.
