Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on Friday laid the foundation stone of Special Economic Zone at Sabroom.
Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyel delivered a speech through video conferencing.
During the inauguration ceremony CM Deb thanked PM Modi and Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyel for sanctioning the SEZ for Tripura.
CM Biplab Kumar Deb also said “The SEZ will open new avenues for economic growth & employment generation in Tripura.
“Business sectors of Tripura will be largely benefitted by the SEZ and Sabroom will play a key role in the development of State. I wholeheartedly thank PM Narendra Modi, Commerce & Industry Minister Shri Piyush Goyal for sanctioning SEZ at Sabroom” the CM said.
He congratulated the entire administration for working tirelessly amidst the pandemic for SEZ development works”.
Attacking the opposition he said that no conspiracy can hinder the development of Tripura which has earned pace under the leadership of PM Modi and Central Home Minister Amit Shah.
