August 20: Tensions erupt in Istampur of Udharband police station over funeral of a man died of Corona. The police brought the situation under control by using sticks. On Wednesday night, the administration took the body of a Corona infected person to Istampur Garden for burial. At that time no one noticed, there was no problem But thetrouble started when the firefighters were informed to sanitize the area. As the villagers come to know about the burial of a Covid-19 patient they detained the firefighters. Sensing trouble the Additional Superintendent of Police Jagadish Das deployed huge police and paramilitary forces in the area. The police resorted to light lathicharge to control the situation.
