Gandagi Mukt Bharat’ campaign launched in Dhubri

Dhubri, 15th Aug,,
A weeklong behaviour change community campaign ‘Gandagi Mukt Bharat’was launched by the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Ministry of Jal Shakti, from 8th to 15th August, 2020. The campaign was inaugurated in Dhubri District PHE office on Friday evening via e ratri chaupal with PRI members by the Executive Engineer (PHE) Dhubri Division. As per the activity plan agenda, on 9th August, single use plastic collection and segregation, on August 10th, Shramdan in GPs to whitewash or cleaning of public buildings, on 11th August, wall painting of GP office buildings, Anganwadi centres etc, on 12th August, tree plantation in villages, on 13th August, online painting and essay competition, on 14th August, cleanliness and sanitation drive in PHC, on 15th August, sensitization of community by GP members and celebration of independence day and ODF plus declaration of villages were performed. Nashimul Hoque (Executive Engineer) of Dhubri Sub Division (PHE), Moy Hussain AEE (PHE), Khanindra Narayan Das AEE (PHE), Sanowar Hussain (Technical Officer) (SBM-G), Mohibur Rahman (CRCC), Prosenjit Bath (CRCC), Ashok Kumar Bath (CRCC), Saurav Dey Sarkar (BRCC) , Siba Nanda Sarkar (CRCC), Raju Patgiri (BRCC), Selim Habib (CRCC), GP president, secretaries, PRI members, NGO members, and swatchhagrahis were present in the programme which was organized by the Dhubri District Water and Sanitation Committee.
