Flights to Port Blair canceled due to bad weather

Port Blair, Sep 20: Port Blair bound flights were canceled due to bad weather during the last two days. According to sources on 19th Sep Indigo 6E-188/624 Chennai-Port Blair-Chennai and 6E-3105/3106 Kolkata-Port Blair-Kolkata canceled due to heavy winds. While on the 20th Sep due to strong winds Indigo 6E-9746 Chennai-Port Blair diverted to Kolkata airport and thus Kolkata –Port Blair 6E -6826 stands canceled. Indigo is operating an additional commercial flight on 21st Sep to bring back the stranded passengers at Chennai. The Indigo flight will depart from Chennai at 07:30 and reach Port Blair at 09:35 and Port Blair t Chennai will fly at 10:15. From Kolkata also an additional Indigo flight deployed tomorrow on 21st Sep. The 6E-3105 will leave from Kolkata at 05:00 and reach Port Blair at 07:10 and 6E-3104 will depart from Port Blair airport at 08:10 and reach Kolkata at 10:15 hrs. “Mr. Zakeer, Manager, Indigo airlines has taken a lot of effort in arranging a special flight for the stranded passengers of Andaman. We all are thankful to him for his dedicated service. Hats off to him”. a passenger claimed.
