Birth anniversary of Sardar Ballav bhai Patel observed as National Unity Day in Tripura.
A function was held on the occasion at Manoranjan Debbarna memorial stadium at AD Nagar police line on Saturday.
Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb was present at the program.
Speaking at the program Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb said that after India got its Independence, there were 565 small territories ruled by separate kings, the first Home Minister of Independent India Sardar Ballav Bhai united all these princely stated under one administration by virtue of diplomacy and dialogue.
National unity day was first observed in the year 2014.
