Tripura State Congress protests against holding of JEE NEET Examinations

Agartala, 28 August
Tripura Pradesh Congress on friday voiced it’s protest against the decision of Central Govt to conduct JEE and NEET exams in present situation.

Congress demanded postponement of examinations for the the convenience of the candidates.

Tripura Congress President Pijus Kanti Biswas said that the number of Covid-19 cases are increasing alarmingly each day. There is no justification of conducting entrance examinations in such a uncertain situation.

The Supreme Court has already rejected a plea filed by students to postpone the examinations stating that ‘precious year of students cant be wasted and life has to go on’

Many academicians believe that delaying examinations further may compromise future of the students.

JEE Mains and NEET 2020 are scheduled to be held between 1-6sept and 13th sept respectively.
