Guwahati, November 29, 2025: The “SSB Inter-Frontier Badminton Cluster (Badminton & Table Tennis) Tournament – 2025”, organised by Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) Guwahati Frontier, successfully concluded on Friday, November 28, 2025, at the Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education (LNIPE), Kamarkuchi, Sonapur, Guwahati.The four-day tournament, which began on November 25, saw the participation of eight teams from SSB Force Headquarters (New Delhi), Ranikhet Frontier, Lucknow Frontier, Patna Frontier, Siliguri Frontier, Guwahati Frontier, Tezpur Frontier, and the SSB Academy. A total of 149 players — 109 in badminton and 38 in table tennis, including nine women — competed across various ranks in six categories: men’s, women’s, and mixed team events, featuring singles, doubles, and mixed doubles matches. The finals in all categories were intensely contested and thrilling.Results:Badminton: Patna Frontier emerged as champions, while Siliguri Frontier finished as runners-up.
Table Tennis: Tezpur Frontier clinched the championship title, with Ranikhet Frontier securing the runners-up position.

Chief Guest Shri Somit Joshi, Inspector General, SSB Force Headquarters, New Delhi, presented trophies to the winning and runners-up teams and awarded medals to individual event winners. Addressing the closing ceremony, Shri Joshi congratulated all participants, praised their sportsmanship, enthusiasm, discipline, and teamwork, and extended best wishes to the selected players for the upcoming All India Police Duty Meets.Shri Sudhir Verma, Inspector General, Guwahati Frontier, expressed gratitude to the Chief Guest, the organising committee, LNIPE authorities, local administration, and media personnel for their invaluable support in making the event a grand success.(Report: firstne.in)
